UW professor Jacek Męcina - Polish Confederation Lewiatan's Board Advisor, lawyer and social politician, specialises in labour laws, employment, and social dialogue relationships as well as employment policy and labour market policy. Since 2000, he has been involved with the Lewiatan, as a head of department, and then as a Board Advisor.

Since 1993, he has been a University of Warsaw lecturer, university professor at the Institute of Social Policy at the University of Warsaw, deputy director of the Institute of Labour and Social Issues (1997-2000). He was a member of the Trilateral Commission on Socio-Economic Issues, vice-minister of labour and economy (2005), Secretary of State in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (2012-2015). Presently a member of the Social Dialogue Council, chairman of the Labour Law Team, member of the Labour Protection Council to the Polish Sejm. Member of programming council at Zarządzanie Zasobami Ludzkimi bimonthly and Dialog Społeczny quarterly, editors' council member at Polityka Społeczna and Rynek Pracy quarterly.

Author of over 100 books, articles, and essays on labour laws, employment relationships, social dialogue as well as labour market and employment policy.
