BusinessEurope: European business welcomes historic EU-Mercosur trade deal

After 20 years of negotiations the EU and Mercosur have finally delivered a deal. BusinessEurope congratulates EU negotiators on a breakthrough.

BusinessEurope President Pierre Gattaz said:

"This agreement is the biggest the EU has ever concluded and will finally open a market of 266 million consumers that are keen to have access to European goods and services at competitive prices.
We still need to know the details but we are confident the final outcome will be balanced and will safeguard the main European interests."
